Movie: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1)

it's been 3 years since the book was released in 2007.
Nice movie, at least it didn't bore me like it did to some of the audience in the theatre, maybe they didn't read the book, or they didn't understand :P

The first time i got hold of a Harry Potter book, i was in Form 4, preparing for my 1st semester final exams! It was the 3rd sequel -- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. My dad borrowed it from the school library for my sis to read, but she didn't. And so i was revising my Add Maths, and i got bored and flipped through the book, and that's it! Glued to it, and finished it! :P

Since then, i made it a habit to have a novel with me when i prepared for my exams. At least the thrill and the urge to finish the book kept me going in finishing my revision faster so that i could read the book -- i set a rule: finished revising a chapter, and and i got to read few pages of the novel :P Sounds lame, but it got me going :P

However, things have changed and i don't have to have a novel beside me whenever i revise, because i've got just too much to revise and too lil' time to read a novel :P

Well, well.. Sometimes i really hoped that i could use some magic to get things done... In my dreams, perhaps ;)

Here's what i wrote 3 years ago after reading the book

Life, to me

Life is hectic as a final year undergraduate. I pray for a peaceful mind to complete whatever i need to complete, smoothly. Life encompasses a myriad of things from various aspects. Life is about living a life. As a 22-year-old young lady, life to me is the reflection of the experiences and things i learnt throughout these 22 years. And these have molded me into who i am today.
I'm grateful to be given this life, to be loved by my family and friends, and to learn to love them. I share my life with them, for "no man is an island". I feel happier when i share my joy with them; i feel less depressed when i share my sorrow with them, although more often than not they are unable to solve my problem.
Living a life is a life-long learning process. I live for the present, i live as a 22-year-old.

Elective Research Project - Informal Acknowledgement :)

been busy for almost a year for this project. Was in a dilemma on which topic to choose around this time last year :P I know i've made the correct decision and may it lead to a fruitful success :)

spent lotsa months on the report writing, and few extremely busy weeks of collecting data together with my ever supportive teammate, Sheh Yinn ;) very grateful to UT B105 housemates for allowing me to become a "parasite" there for a few weeks :) and to my gang of friends who always hang out with me, go shopping, having karaoke sessions during the few hectic weeks.

Our supervising lecturer is the best supervisor, for she never treated us inferiorly as we are students, but care for us as her teammates (ehem... all 3 of us are co-writers la hehe :P ). I shall never forget the enjoyable process of doing this research, for i have 2 two sporting comrades whom i share sweet memories with ;)

My dad, despite having a very busy schedule himself, helped me to proof read my report :) Thanks a lot, DaD! and my MuM, she has been getting the same reply everyday when both of them call me at 10pm -- "i'm busy and tired writing my report :'(" and she never forgets to tell me to eat more :P Love u two lotsss :)

My roommate is the best roommate as she has been tolerating my craziness for 4 years :P Great patience she has :P

My close friends, who always listen to my laments, tolerate my "bipolar disorder", let me "whack" them, hug them, etc., i owe you all a big thanks :D

Last but not least, to my dearest sweetie, thanks and sorry for tolerating the ever busy me for these few months. Okaylah we cancel it off lah since you also have been so freakingly busy ever since you start working :P hehehe...

I've to learn to love stuffs i do

Realised that interest really has a great influence on my motivation and enthusiasm on doing things.
Glad that i got 1 down today and 3 more to go; it's when i'm not under huge amount of stress that i get to pick up things and learn faster. However, if it hadn't been the huge amount of interest, i'd have slacked and took things easy. What a dilemma!

What we all need now to get motivated is eustress, not distress :'(

I love doing stuffs i love, but i've to learn to love all other stuffs i need to do too!

When there's just too many programmes running all at one time, the CPU hangs and sometimes shuts down by itself.

Out of 5 weekdays in this week, 3 meals per day, i was only full for less than 3 meals (out of 15) :( I need a treat to a nice meal, anyone?

3rd session at OT

Observed alveolar bone grafting today :D
Cool!
Amazed at how bone marrow was harvested from iliac crest to be grafted to the alveolar bone on a cleft lip & palate today. We don't just operate on teeth okay... ;)
Tried surgical hand scrub. It's super painful! :'(
