Iron Man 2

Hahaha this is soOo funny, seeing Tony Stark in the doughnut :P
The storyline is a bit exaggerated & unrealistic here and there, but well, it's fiction! :)

Okay i love the Scarlett Johansson's hair colour!!! and her lips...

I love that "ferris wheel"-like table deco! Does anyone know where to get one? It's soOo 'physics' :P

I love how Pepper Potts takes care of Tony Stark, mummy-ing him around, so sweet! I just love the way they interact :) and I guess everyone could see that coming :P *see what?* Go watch it!

Movie: The Taking of Pelham 123

Free movie tickets, so lucky =P
It's a thriller film, a nice one!
It's based on the novel of the same name by Morton Freedgood (writing under the pseudonym John Godey).
It has been made into movies few times more than 10 years ago. The remake this one around is great! Starring John Travolta as the big bad guy, the film has portrayed the greed of human beings & how cruel and nasty one can get in the pursuit of wealth.
The film involves lotsa dialogues, which reminds me of my lil sis Daphne who hates "talking non-stop" films :P
The story spans around 1hour++ with audiences holding their breaths, trying to anticipate what's gonna happen next and whether anymore hostages will be shot.
I learnt that we are not born to live our destiny or the way life seems to be. Sometimes life leads us to something that we've never had thought of, something surprising, and heaven made us to be unique and capable of handling new things.
To shoot or not to shoot, your call =)

Rosy Business 巾帼枭雄

another great Hong Kong TVB drama.
It protrays greed, trust, love, friendship, loyalty, and all the thousand faces of the human race.
Again, it doesn't star my favourite actors or actresses. I watched it 'cause it's highly recommended by my friends :P
Too bad it didn't show Jeung Bit Zeng's child :( I'd love to see the cute little ones!

Emergency Unit @ 學警狙擊

finished watching 30-episode long Hong Kong TVB drama 學警狙擊 Emergency Unit

no doubt, Hong Kong's underworld dramas are the best! It's a very popular drama. Friends who know me well know that i'm quite selective in the dramas i watch; i only watch dramas which

1. star my favourite actors & actresses
2. have a appealing plot & theme
3. are of quality

This drama doesn't have my idols, but due to boredom & high recommendation by friends, i watched it and enjoyed it =)

老婆大人II @ Just Love II

just finished watching this latest Hong Kong TVB drama. I still love Jessica Hester Hsuan 宣萱 very much =) It's not a mega drama but i like the way the story portrays life. No doubt, i still strongly believe that one can learn a lot about life by watching drama & movies, and through reading. It is through observing how other people handle things in their life that we ourselves mature mentally & emotionally after doing some self-reflections.

This drama is about a capable judge with a loving husband and a cute son. In the 1st season, she was quite mean to her husband. In this 2nd season, we see a change in her attitude towards life & her loved ones. 老婆大人 (Lou Po Dai Yan/ Lao Po Da Ren) means a bossy wife. Haha, there's no way am i going to be one although i like this drama =P I hope i can be a supportive one instead =)

I hope i can have more time to watch dramas i love. However, i doubt i can due to my packed schedule. Sigh... I'll leave it for the holidays then =)

Major Dr Owen Hunt is bringing Sexy Back!

SEXY BACK by Justin Timberlake
[Verse 1]
I'm bringing sexy back
Them other boys don't know how to act
I think it's special what's behind your back
So turn around and i'll pick up the slack.
Take em' to the bridge

[Bridge]
Dirty babe
You see these shackles
Baby I'm your slave
I'll let you whip me if I misbehave
It's just that no one makes me feel this way

Take em' to the chorus

[Chorus]
Come here girl
Go ahead, be gone with it
Come to the back
Go ahead, be gone with it
VIP
Go ahead, be gone with it
Drinks on me
Go ahead, be gone with it
Let me see what you're working with
Go ahead, be gone with it
Look at those hips
Go ahead, be gone with it
You make me smile
Go ahead, be gone with it
Go ahead child
Go ahead, be gone with it
And get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it

Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it

[X6]

Get your sexy on

[Verse 2]
I'm bringing sexy back
Them other boys don't know how to act
Come let me make up for the things you lack
Cause your burning up I gotta get it fast
Take em' to the bridge

[Bridge]

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
I'm bringing sexy back
Them other boys watch while I attack
If that's your girl you better watch your back
Cause she'll burn it up for me and that's a fact

Take em' to the chorus

[Chorus] Justify Full
HOT!!!

Grey's Anatomy Season 5

yeah i'm still addicted to this series, as what Pin Ping said :P
the new season started in September.
i'm still very into it as i learnt quite some stuffs from it about LIFE, and how different people handle it.
besides watching the drama, i
tried all the quizes about it in Facebook,
had been trying to finish the trivia questions in Facebook,
visited Grey's Anatomy Insider,
visited its official website on ABC,
visited blogs about it on ABC,
visited Sandra Oh (who's acting as Dr Cristina Yang)'s websites...

yeah i'm totally addicted to it!
i'm not crazy, i'm just in love with it =D
most of the fifth formers have finished SPM, i guess that's one of the reasons Streamyx is getting slower and slower recently =(
this is the major problem i'm having in my pursuit of happiness, brought by GA :) yeah i know you really think i'm crazy :P

look, the truth is, i've been a big fan of drama series since i was in primary school. i didn't have much time during my secondary school years until i finshed SPM, during which i juggled between up to 5 drama series in a day on TV, sometimes 2 drama series airing at the same time! Tips: i switched from one channel to another during commercial breaks :P I knew it's no fun and ridiculous doing so and the storyline wouldn't be complete for me watching it like that, but i loved all drama series so much that i couldn't decide on which to forgo, so i read the synopses in newspaper :P For those who've known me for years, this isn't surprising. If it is, you might want to read my blog posts dated sometime back around early year 2006 =)

Albeit there are problems with the casts in the production team for this show, the story is still intriguing to me :) Let's hope that Streamyx will buck up and let me enjoy my show!

Busy clinical student life

have been busy lately. will get busier in another few weeks when i've to treat patients from all specialties.
i've seen one patient under Prosthetic Dentistry who requires dentures. Her mouth's so small, spent quite some time in trying to insert my impression stock tray into her mouth. Sigh... i don't really like Prosthetics. Which specialty i like the most? Still waiting for inspiration :) (Haha quoting Meredith Grey in Grey's Anatomy :P) So far, i prefer Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery the most as this is the only specialty that doesn't has any fixed schedules/ requirements to fulfill. So it's kinda less stressful compared to the other 11 specialties (yeah, dentistry does have that many specialties!). However, OS is mostly about destroying rather than conservating as compared to Conservative Dentistry. So i've to be extra careful as i might kill the patient! Haha... now i've the licence to kill & to heal :P
i'll talk about each & every specialty in detail during my holidays.
Raya holidays: Sept 27 - Oct 3
Happy Fasting to all my Muslim friends :)

Goedendag :)
Pas op jezelf!

Random

attended a lecture for motorcyclists-to-be last Sunday. Will get my motorcyclist learning licence (L-licence) tomorrow.

viewed all my friends' profiles on Facebook & Friendster accounts to keep myself updated on my friends' latest news. Spent a few days doing that :P I guess the next time when i'll have the time to do so will be during my next end of academic year holidays :)

my next holidays will be in August. I'm going to Indonesia to attend APDSA. Not very excited to go as so far it is not exciting to me at all. Going there to promote Malaysia for a project which is sooo not involving & seems so "detatched", so far.

Happy birthday to my person :) ...like Meredith & Cristina ~ Grey's Anatomy

Jumanji!

Watched Jumanji on Astro AXN. It's a 1995 movie starring Robbie Williams & Kirsten Dunst (Spider Man lead actress when she was still a kid!). Watched it many times when i was a kid :) Some scenes frightened me very much when i was young, but now everything seems to be quite okay ;)

watched Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull few weeks ago. It's quite funny but i didn't really understand some parts especially those involving the aliens. Everything was okay except for the aliens, which i thought have made the story looked quite weird as i thought Indiana Jones stories were about adventures & treasure hunting. Or was i wrong?

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Watched this movie last week. A nice one, for children :) However, Prince Caspian didn't really have much influence despite being in the movie title. Peter, Susan, Edmund & Lucy still dominated the movie, with Aslan being the savior!

Back from vacation

just came home yesterday evening.
the first thing i did was exactly the same as what i did last year when i just reached home after traveling from Kedah - check my result slip!
haha this time around, my results are better than what i got last year! Hard work pays it off!

this trip back to Kedah was about eating local delicacies, visiting relatives and family friends, having a 3 days 2 nights trip to Langkawi, and "enjoying" the super hot weather in Northern Malaysia!
The Langkawi trip wasn't interesting, especially not the beaches and sea as we've been to nicer beaches in Tioman, Lang Tengah and Redang Islands. We rented a car to go around the island to visit historical sites such as the Mahsuri Mausoleum, Burnt Rice, etc. The best part of the trip was the cable car ride up a 700m high mountain. The gondolas moved at quite a high speed. The scene on top of the mountain was breathtaking! We saw the whole view of the bay with many yatchs as the International Yatch Society (can't remember the correct name :P ) was located there. I loved the world's longest pedestrian bridge the most! It was hanging around 600m above sea level in the valley! I loved the feeling when clouds were blown onto my face, and with clouds around me, i felt like i was in heaven :P
will upload pictures onto my facebook profile soon :)

learnt to ride a scooter motorbike using my maternal granny's Pasola in Kedah. My dad was my coach ;) Mastered the basic skills within 30 minutes!!! Haha, my cute little sis could also ride a motorbike now!

recently addicted to Kimora Lee Simmons' series Life in the Fab Lane on E! channel. For KLS fans, stay tuned on Astro E! Ch712 for the marathon!

Indiana Jones

watched the movie last night with Dad & Sis. The movie was quite nice, despite having a weird storyline, hmm... aliens?! Well, sis & i thought it was going to be a movie about treasure hunting/ some kind of adventure to rescue somebody... Anyway, i loved the gadgets they used and the brilliant architecture of the castle, etc. :)
worth watching in the cinemas :)

Blog layout finalised. Seriously!

Wow... Finally, i've finalised my blog layout - Grey's Anatomy!
Haha this background picture was taken during Season 3 when Isaiah Washington @ Dr. Preston Xavier Burke was still in the show.
Took me quite some time to find the most suitable background :P
Thanks a lot to Zheng En for reminding me that i can edit the XML & HTML codes without actually having to search for the ideal ready-made layout which 100% suits me :)
Haha... well, i think this layout will remain here for quite some time untill i'm bored of it and have the time to replace it with another.

My parents were learning & trying out instant messaging for the 1st time just now. It was... hilarious! :P Haha old people... I bet you can guess how it went :P

Went shopping at Summit Parade with mum & sis this afternoon. Saw singer Zhang Dong Liang. None of us were his fan. His looks? Hmm... acceptable.

Thanks a lot to Pin Ping for the movies :)

p/s: for those who receive my posts by email, please please please click on the link to my blog to view the layout. It took me days to finalise and edit the whole thing. Please :'(

New layout

yeah i know some of you out there are going to say, "hey, do away with Harry Potter lah!"
haha... alright, anyone who has nice Grey's Anatomy XML Blogger layout please give me!
I'm very tired now after hunting through many websites to search for XML Tagboards, only to find out that HTML can be encoded into XML layouts using widgets! OoOoh, should have told me earlier lah!
Then i thought of changing the layout, so i started searching for nice layouts. In the end i ended up being very tired, so just simply pick this layout for the time being lah... I'll "hunt" for better ones tomorrow...

Back at home

Yay!!! Finally i'm back at home after 2 month's of absence :) Dad picked me up from hostel together with my paternal grandma who went with him to visit my uncle. Had lunch at Wong Kok Cafe. It's so "amazing" that my stuffs couldn't fit into dad's 7-seater Innova, luckily my Cheras uncle came, so left 5 items with him.

i got into the lists of Pathology and Dental Materials & Technology distinction viva, meaning i got 2 As already :) went for Pathology viva as it's my second favourite subject. I didn't get Pharmacology distinction viva, a bit disappointed as it's my favourite subject :P Dental Material & Technology viva is going to be held tomorrow, i'm not attending it as i'm already at home. Didn't plan to stay at hostel to wait for it anyway, i stayed back for a week to wait for Pharmacology & Pathology ones which were held last week. I didn't get any for Medical Microbiology as well as i didn't have much interest in that subject :P Anyway, i'm very happy as i got an A for killer subject this year - Pathology!

Things i like at home:

1. Dad, Mum, Sis
2. Home-cooked food
3. Hot-water shower
4. Mum's soup
5. Big TV
6. Doing whatever i like!

i'm seriously addicted to Grey's Anatomy, especially to Isaiah Washington as Dr. Preston Xavier Burke and Sandra Oh as Dr. Cristina Yang!!!

Holidays again!!!

i'm so happy that i've completed my 2nd yr! So i'm now a clinical student! I'm going to be a clinician starting this coming July, hurray!!!
i'm still in uni now, waiting for viva lists to be out.
i'm seriously addicted to Grey's Anatomy series :P Yeah, for those who are very eager to learn medical stuffs, you'd prefer House MD. yeah i watch that too, till season 2 :) GA is more about docs' life, more of romance and... life! i like to watch how the characters handle their problems in life. Be it death, love, marriage, family, relationships, work, internal conflicts, life being interns...just everything! Did i just said i'm addicted? :P
i watched season 1 few months ago, finished season 2 during my 2 weeks of study weeks (oops :P), just finished season 3 half an hour ago. haha... i borrowed Deanna's DVD, her season 3 DVD has all but the last episode! yeah you can imagine how freaked out i was last night after i've finished the 2nd-last episode and realised i wasn't having the last one!!! haha... it's ok, Deanna :) it's not your fault :P and yeah i contacted every single friend whom i knew they're also GA fans for the last episode... i knew what's gonna happen in the season finale, and it's also the last episode of my beloved Dr. Preston Xavier Burke in the series! haha... well... eventually, i was the 1st one to enter the computer lab this morning 5mins before 8.30am and i was planning to download it but eventually i watched it online... Oh my... i'm addicted! Full stop.
went to Bukit Bintang last Saturday with Ching Eng, Chung Nam, Diew Leong & Lai Tzen
went to SS2 Kei Tak Sek last Sunday with Ching Eng, Chung Nam & Diew Leong
went to SS2 night market last Monday with Pei Ling & Kwee Fong
went to Jaya One Old Town White Coffee Cafe after that with Ching Eng, Chung Nam, Diew Leong & Hooi Shan
