Merry Christmas

now at home. x'mas holidays till Monday, 26th of December, which is my dearest sis - Daphne's 14th birthday!
HaPpY BiRtHdAy tO Daphne (in advanced)
came home by bus on Friday afternoon. reached Batu Pahat at 10pm... it's a extremely tiring journey...
i've brought a lot of homework! English-Thesis, Biology and Chemistry- lab report, etc...
went to Summit Parade with Yunn Shin and Pin Ping yesterday. PP showed us the photos that she's taken in Korea. wow... the scenery's amazing! hmm... it made me feel like going back to New Zealand, where i've stayed for 3 months in 1998, again...
just applied online for the entrance to public universities in 2006. intending to do either biotechnology or genetics, i put MS02 Sains (Aliran Sains Hayat) - Universiti Malaya as my first choice as first years students get to learn everything general in bioinformatics, biochemistry, biotechnology, biodiversity, genetics, biohealth sciences, environmental science and mocrobiology in their first year before specifying in one of these principles in their second year and third year. this is a benefit as students are able to know exactly where their strong point is before 'jumping on the conclusion'. hope my ambition to beome a lecturer in the tertiary level of education will come true :)
will be going back to college tomorrow morning. will be back a week before Chinese New Year, which is after my mid-semester test, on 20th of January, 2006.

Results!

wow... i got GPA 4.0 for my 1st semester! unbelievable! my college-KMPh is top in the ranking among all MOE matriculation colleges, we've 300+ students who got GPA 4.0, and we've only 27 students kicked out from the program (those who got GPA <1.55)...
my results:
Biology A
Chemistry A
Mathematics A
English LC (lulus dengan cemerlang / passed with distinction)
Co-curricular Activities L
Informatics Science L
*for CCA & IS, everyone got 'L', except for those who've represented the college in sports and games, they got 'LC', i think so :)
spent last weekend with family in Kuantan; they came to visit me...
now deciding what course to choose 'cause matriculation student have to submit the appication to public universities (1st phase) before 12th of January, 2006.
still deciding... ...
any suggestions, please email / msg / sms me :) TQ

special holiday!

due to water shortage (actually there's not even a drop of it!) because of the repairing work of 3 burst main pipes which supply water to my college, KUKTEM and Gambang residential areas, we KMPh students and KUKTEM students were given special holidays...
last Wednesday, i was told that that'll be 4 days of water shortage in our college, that's from Thursday to Sunday. those who'd heard of this 'news' quickly filled up any container that they've with water! true enough, when i reached my hostel after 5pm, there's already no water on the third and second floors. all the residents, except the wardens who're living on the ground floor, had to use the wash rooms on the 1st floor. night turned worst as we'd to carry water with mineral water bottles or any containers we'd to the toilet and to wash up. imagine!
the next day (Thursday) turned worst as those who'd the habit of taking a shower in the morning had to get up as early as 4am to got to the multi-purpose building, where there's still some water in the water tanks, to shower! luckily, i don't have this habit because i just can't stand the chill early in the morning :P some boys even bathed in the lake beside their hostels! Urgh~ it's so disgusting!
at 9am, we're informed that we're allowed to go home without applying beforehand from Friday to Sunday due to the water shortage. however, i was informed that all the bus tickets to Johor on Friday had been sold out! at first, i thought of putting up in one of my collegemates place in Kuantan 'cause it's kinda rush to go home on Friday and come back to college on Sunday. then, a truck carrying water from JBA came, that meant the cafeterias will be operating since there's water available. dad called and asked me to stay in college if the cafes are operating 'cause it's not convenient to stay at friend's house.
however, at 1pm, we're informed again that we can leave the college after 5pm that day and return to college on next Tuesday! i immediately booked a bus ticket through a taxi driver and boarded the 11pm bus that very night. i reached home at 3am on Friday morning. huh~ it's so tiring...

i'll be going back to college tomorrow morning by bus, but i've not finished doing my assignments yet :P

i was sick on the previous week; i had flu, sorethroat and cough. thank God, i'm well now :)

watched the movie of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with Yong May and Kim Na. those who've read the book will certainly notice that some important parts of the story weren't included in the movie. since i read this book in Form 4, i don't quite remember some of the detailed parts but i can tell that some parts're missing... it's quite disappointing as the director seemed to lift a little bit of every part of the story and those who'venot read the book might not fully understand the whole story... since the director of the 4th sequence isn't going to direct the 5th one, i hope that the new director will do a better job.

...hols...

hv been spending there past few days at home watching TV, visitting friends and spending time with family and relatives...
went to Yong May's family optical shop for an eye check-up and found out that my eye-sight hasn't deteriorated except for a 50 degrees increase in myopia in my right eye.. got a pair of new specs anyway... mum said i need another pair as a 'spare tyre', if u get what i mean ;P
visitted Pn Goh with Yunn Shin and Yong May on Tuesday... and that's the reason why we didn't attend the gathering at McD, Summit Parade...
went to Yin Tyan's house... Yong May and Kim Na were making puddings and spaghetti... and i met up with some other friends including Yin Tyan's boyfriend, Yong Jie, whom i wasn't introduced to, hmm... friends studying in TAR College were practising for a singing competititon which is going to be on Monday, that's tomorrow, for that matter. i left after having eaten the delicious spaghetti but had no time for the puddings 'cause they're still in the oven when i left... hmm... never having really cooked something myself, it's quite a surprise for me to find out that one actually has to baked puddings in an oven! or maybe it's one of a special type...
i left in my dad's new Toyota Innova which has a 'JJJ' on its number plate... hmm... my parents seemed to have a liking of purchasing new things in my absence... an Astro decoder, a study lamp, a new MPV...
all 4 of us in the family played badminton at Banang Golf Club that evening... and i found out that my stamina's getting from bad to worse nowadays that i was panting like hell just 10 minutes after the game started... but it's really hard not to feel tired playing with 2 skillful 'old players' *wink
on Saturday, we went to Kukup and bought some T-shirts there... the trip went intended to be to Tanjung Piai, the southest tip of the Asia continent, but the road leading to it looked too dangerous to be travelled on...

yesterday, my paternal granny cooked my favourite Hokkien Eng Chun noodle for me... it's delicious! after lunch, my family and my uncles' went to the showvillage in Evergreen Heights... the interior designs of all the 8 houses were very nice and sophisticated but some designs weren't that practical if one's to 'live' in that design...

just finished reading Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince this evening... i found this book lacking in something the previous 4 HP sequels have, which i don't know what it really is... it's so dull at the beginning, but not after half the book has been read... by the way, it's true in the papers; 'everyone seems to be snogging...'
it's so sad that Dumbledore's dead and was killed by a very 'dislikable' character in the story... but it's happy to know that Ron and Hermione eventually became a pair, but i did thought that Harry and Hermione would be a more compatible pair; one being courageos, and the other, intelligent ;)
the part in which Harry and Dumbledore were at the lake was the most eeriest part in the book 'cause i personally disgust corpse! and seeing Dumbledore suffering after drinking that potion in the basin was so touching and saddening...
and when Harry eventually asked for a split up with Ginny, i thought that he was very wise and selfless in doing so, for Voldemort'll most probably make use of her as a bait in future, as what Harry said... it's benevolent and noble to sacrifice one's love for the sake of the world, for Harry, the magical society especially, but not for the sake of one's personal pursue, which is very selfish... Harry's made a wise choice... but i think the seventh and last sequel'll be very different from all the previous ones as Harry's decided not to return to Hogwarts after Dumbledore's death, to search for Voldemort and kill him... he'll be very different yet more matured, i think, for he has a much heavier responsibility now, seeing that Dumbledore's no longer here to assist him anymore...
...good luck, Harry...

i'll be going back to college on Thursday after my additional SPM Chinese paper on Thursday morning... to my college mates, i've got permission from the HEP, in precise, En Amran himself... and don't forget to bring kuih-muih and your own baju kebangsaan for the jamuan on the 18th of November...

...home sweet home...

i've just finished my 1st semester of matriculation studies...
jz arrived home yesterday evening... my friend and i boarded the wrong ubs! we're supposed to take the 10.30am bus which was heading to Johor Bahru by the Segamat way, but another bus which was heading the same way arrived earlier... the bus driver told us that his bus has empty seats... thinking of getting home earlier, we boarded the bus without much hesitation...
after more than an hour on the bus, then only we realised that the bus was taking the Mersing way! we had no choice but to call my parents and ask them to pick us in Larkin, JB... my dear parents and sister arrived at the bus terminal in our new Toyota Innova before us! haha...
it's a lesson to us; not to board any other bus other than the one stated on the bus ticket...

the questions of our final exams were set by university proffessors... maths was quite difficult and those who really aspire to study medicine were really upset after the exam 'cause without 4.0 CGPA, it's very difficult for one to get a place in U to study medicine... since i'm after biotech or other science related courses except medicine, i'm not that worried...

MUET: i didn't have enough sleep the night before my speaking test... so i don't think i did my best... however, i think i did quite well for other papers... hope to get band 4 and above...

semester break: 29 Oct - 9 Nov

Gala Nite

The English Gala Nite is on this Friday, 30 Sept 2005! i'm going to be one of the fairies again! My class won the third place in the preliminary round of Reader's Theatre competition! unfortunately, only the top 2s are going to the finals, which will be held on Gala Nite...

i'm now in the computer lab... today's the last lesson of Informatics Science... so i think i won't be able to have any free time to surf the net and update my blog till after my exams, which is going to be after 29th of Oct... i'll be going home by bus on 30th of Oct and be back here on 6th of Nov... the 2nd semester's going to start on 7th of Nov!!!

my parents are coming only next Saturday, 8th of Oct... dad's going to receive his Anugerah Guru Cemerlang for excellent perfomance in his work this coming Saturday, 1st of Oct. Congrats! hmm... i won't be able to celebrate his birthday with him (2nd of Oct)... Happy Birthday in advanced, dad!

got my MUET exam slip... my speaking test's on 17th of Oct, at 7.30am! i hope i won't be too drowsy to speak...

well, till then... wish me luck for my exams :)

Maths quiz...

I won the 1st place in the Maths Quiz which was held recently during the Maths Week!!! however, the college has no time to hold a prize giving ceremony, so we winners're told to claim the prizes OURSELVES! it's so pityful of me carrying a heavy hamper with the height of a normal table from the administration office back to my hostel... i invited my roommates and neighbours to 'finish up' the hamper... everything's food, mainly biscuits and snacks...

i won't be going home till after my final exams and MUET... will be home by 30 Oct...

though exams are just around the corner, we've lots of tests, seminars and talks...

last weekend, some of the public universities and college universities came to have a roadshow here in my college... i went for UM and UMS's talk... the talks're conducted by proffessors of the universities... during the UM's talk, the part of the ceiling of our lecture theatre collapsed!!! luckily no one got hurt... it's so embarrassing 'cause our college's considered the newest among the matriculation colleges, it's only 3-year-old!!!

this month is our English Month and i participated in the launching event by acting as a 'sad fairy', wearing all black... our class took part in the Readers' Theatre competition... the results of the preliminary round'sn't out yet... finals is going to be held during the closing ceremony, which is the Gala Nite, on 30th of Sept...

Results...

Have been very busy since college reopened...
My Mid-term Test results:
Biology A
Chemistry A
Maths B+
English LC (lulus dengan cemerlang or the highest band, for that matter)
=GPA 3.80
many failed in maths... i'm very contented to get B+ :)

was involved in the launching event of English Month (September), acted as a sad fairy :)
my class's going to participate in the Readers' Theatre competition... so, anyone with knowledge on that please give me some info :)

we've a Gala Nite when we've to dress up ourselves in costumes, the theme is "Fantasy"... some of my friends suggested that i should be Chun Li in Street Fighter! haha... however, it's a character in a computer game...

final exam's coming soon-next month!!!

Hols...

watched 6 movies in 3 days: Star Wars III, Big Fish, War of The Worlds, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Titanic...

visitted my secondary school teachers on last Friday... Pn Ng's ill... hope she'll get well soon :) didn't get the chance to chat to Pn Chua... hope she won't be angry with me..

went shopping with Yong May on Friday afternoon... met Mei Yin and a guy... hmm... she said he's her 'fren'... hope they'll get stable soon :)

was out for lunch at Pizza Hut with Pn Goh, Cheng Chin, Yong May and Yunn Shin(who purposely came back to BP to meet me) on Saturday afternoon... met many ex-schoolmates in summit parade...

went lateh with friends on Friday and Saturday night till midnight... got hold of lots of the 'latest news' happening around my friends... was very surprised and kinda shocked that Meng Chian's got E Heng as her beau... well, hope they'll be happy with each other...

haven't started doing my assignments and tutorial questions...

Holidays...

UPS's over... now enjoying my 2-week-holidays at home...
UPS: maths was quite tough 'cause the questions were set by UiTM professors... bio was quite easy though... the questions were quite direct... chems was tricky but easy... since i've not written english essays for half a year (since after SPM), and i hate writing descriptive essays, i think i'm going to get a quite embarrassing result for my english writing paper... the listening test would be very easy if not for the strong british accent of the speakers...

came home with my friends by bus... its company name's "Cepat Ekspress', but i'd prefer it to be "lambat ekspress' 'cause the whole journey took more than 6hrs from Kuantan to Yong Peng! we took a cab to the bus terminal at 7am, had breakfast at a hawker centre before boarding the bus at 9am. the air-con of the bus wasn't functioning! after we left Kuantan for about an hour, one of the tyres got punctured! so, we'd to stop in Bandar Muadzam Shah to get it repaired. that took another one hour... finally, we reached Segamat at 1.20pm where we'd to take another bus heading to Johor Bahru. we reached Yong Peng at 3pm. my mum was already waiting there. she drove us back to Batu Pahat...

found out something bad when i got home. my dad had an operation on the day before my UPS. he had hernia; the membrane surrounding his intestines was "punctured' a little in early July. he had told all my relatives, my secondary school teachers and my friends not to tell me 'cause he didn't want me to worry since i'd UPS... it was a minor operation and he's recovering now... great dad :)

i've an assignment on web-design for informatics science which i've to submit after my mid-term break. my lecturer burned the installation packages of Macromedia Dreamweaver and Macromedia Fireworks for us since most of us don't have these softwares at home... however, i couldn't install them! the error:"your operating system (OS) can't support this software'. i checked on macromedia.com but i found out that under "system requirements', they do function in Wins ME!!! HELP!!!

so sad...

didn't get JPA even after appealing... have sent another appeal letter... now waiting for both PPC and JPA's appeal results...
my UPS-Ujian Pertengahan Semester / Mid-Term Test is on 27th and 28th of July... i'll be having a 2 weeks mid-term break from 1st to 13th of August...
now gradually accepting the fact that i've to study in matriculation... it's an easier way to get into public Us, a not-anyone-can-get-into-it-easily place...
i've befriended some of the lecturers here in my college... most of them don't teach me... i'm kinda careful in choosing my 'lecturer-friends' 'cause i'm afraid of gossips :P most of the lecturers here are very young so they are very sporty and cheeky (sometimes:) ) and friendly :P glad to have them here... otherwise life would be so boring... and it is.
i'd lost much of my momentum in studying after SPM but, thank God, i've slowly gained back some now... hope i'll perform well in my UPS though it only carries 10% of my GPA for this semester...
well, have to hit the books now... will try to update my blog whenever i'm free...
my e-mail address in college: sh50027@kmph.matrik.edu.my but just e-mail me at eunicesoh@gmail.com , my primary e-add.

Got UPU's offer! But???

i didn't apply for any engineering course but i got the offer to do DIPLOMA TEKNOLOGI KEJURUTERAAN AWAM in KUKTEM, Gambang, Kuantan, Pahang! i'm now studying in Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang in Gambang too! KUKTEM's just a few kilometres away from KMPh!!! My first 5 choices are all of the BPG-Bahagian Pendidikan Guru's courses.(Chemistry, Maths, Physics, Biology, TESL). I went for the PPC-Program Pelajar Cemerlang's interview (oversea scholarship). Heard that if i failed to get the scholarship to study oversea, i'll get the offer to do my education course locally.. but how come i got this offer to study in KUKTEM though i didn't apply for it? i did tick in the box stating 'setuju menerima kursus yang lain'. but it's very weird. with 9A1s and 1A2 (moral), GCE-O A1, i can't even get the course i want? at least TESL! the interviewer did ask me whether i want to put TESL as my 2nd choice if i don't get Chemistry and i said yes! some said that those who got matrikulasi won't get upu but since i'm in the 2nd intake, my name's not deleted in the upu list. anyone please help?

Back for holidays...

hihi.... i'm back at home! just arrived home yesterday evening... didn't plan to come home this weekend, came back to do my agreement form... still waiting for the result of JPA and PPC scholarship. if i got any of them, i'll be studying in KL in a few weeks time...
i'm in Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang, Gambang, Kuantan, 3 1/2 hour drive from my hometown... 4 in a room, 3 bumiputera and 1 non-bumiputera...
all science students of the 2nd intake was given physical science (physics, chemistry, maths, english)... i want to do life science! so i appealed (many appealed too!) and waited for 1 week while attending for physic lectures and tutorials! at last, i got what i want! i'll be switching to life science stream (biology, chemistry, maths, english) next week! however, i've to study 4 biology topics which had been taught in the last two weeks on my own! oh my God...
i reported on monday, and misread the name list, thus, went into the wrong group, lectures and tutorials! and i only found out that i wasn't in 3F17a but 7F39a yesterday! that means, i've been entering the wrong class for lectures and tutorials for 3 consecutive days since last tuesday! after knowing that i'd entered the wrong group, i straight away went into the office to inform all my 3F17a lecturers&tutors and tried to inform my 7F39a lecturers&tutors (i didn't know who're they)... the 1st lecturer i met was a Chinese lady, an English lecturer but she's not teaching me... i think she's the head of English Department... i told her my problem and asked for her help to get my answer sheet for my English Placement Test (very easy!) from my 3F17a lecturer and pass it to my 7F39a lecturer... she was so nice and very helpful... for some other lecturers and tutors, they thought i copied the timetable wrongly and just misentered their class alone... they didn't know that i went into the wrong group, meaning i've followed the wrong timetable and went for lectures and tutorials of another group! still didn't manage to meet all the lecturers and tutors 'cause i had to attend for lectures and tutorials yesterday... but now, since i'm successful in switching to life science stream, that means i've to meet all the lecturers and tutors for 3 groups and explain to them one by one about my condition! oh... i think my jaw will drop in the end...
the life style here is the same as it is in universities and colleges but the rules here are stricter... my college's a new one (i'm in the 3rd batch here)... it's cool studying there compared to Form 6 because lecturers use LCD projectors and computer to conduct lectures... i know some of you might think this is 'normal' or 'usual' but to a 'kampung girl' like me, it's interesting!
the campus is very big so i've to walk a lot everyday! since i'm from the 2nd intake, i've missed the orientation week, which is described as a torturing one by those from the 1st intake.
well, i'll try to update my blog as frequent as possible 'cause i can only access to the internet from the library and i've to wear formal attire to go there, which is very troublesome...
going back to Pahang tomorrow... have to reach there before 6pm...

Going to Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang

i've appealed for acceptance into 2nd intake of matrikulasi last month and got the offer today (i checked online). in the online offer letter, it just stated the fees (RM470), date of registration and the address of the college, nothing else! i've to call my friends who went for the 1st intake to ask what to do and what to bring... preparing like hell now...
hope to get JPA or PPC scholarship (will know the result in June)... don't really feel like studying for matriks...

New space...

tired of movables... weird blog outlook despite a few attempts of 'rescuing' it.. well, don't feel like talking about that:-it's been very boring since i entered Form 6... we'd been asked to do a mural yesterday but we've been told that a teacher will guide us and 'jangan kacau apa-apa dulu'... what the...
after that, they told us to enter our classroom and our form teacher'll take our attendence... we waited for our form teacher to come from 8am to 1pm but he didn't appear at all! we lower 6 students in SDBL don't have classrooms! we've to use the science labs as one!
since i'm taking Bio/Chem, i'm in class 6.2B ('B' stands for 'bawah')...

1st day in Form 6

went to smka yesterday to wish my teachers a happy Teacher's Day.
today's my 1st day in SMK Dato' Bentara Luar. this school's so different from my former school, SMK Jalan Kolam Air in various aspects. well, as our teacher-in-charge of the orientation program has told us not to compare our present school with the former one, i'll leave it to your imagination and whatever to understand what's so 'different'! well, i think those who're SDBL students or who've heard of SDBL might know what i mean:)

Going to Form 6

i was left out from the form 6 name list like any other pts students... after appealing, i got accepted into SDBL! heard that it has the best science teachers in BP. i'm going to form 6 while waiting for my results of JPA & PPC interviews. hope there'll be good news for me:) for those who're currently studying, you'll find a lot of information about a student's life whether in m'sia or abroad in this website.

Special Malay Wedding

attended Pn Noor Hasny's son's wedding kenduri just now. it's a very special kenduri (well, to me...) 'cause it had a live band singing love songs in the car porch of a chinese family and a huge castle-shaped balloon (hope you get what i mean) at the entrance of the avenue! they invited guests from various races and they set up 3 tents in a row, that means they `booked' the whole jalan! the food was ok, i'll give it 70%. too bad, i didn't see the Raja & Permaisuri Sehari.
last friday, i encountered the same problem which i faced in june, last year. luckily, i had my mum beside me and i felt better after taking my painkillers, hence, didn't go for any jabs like what i did last year. mum,"aiyo... you see lah... you can't even take care of yourself... i wonder what'll happen if this happens again when you're studying outside... if you're to study abroad, it'll be worse 'cause the weather there'll be very cold you know?" in the end, i promised her to exercise for at least 40mins a day (that's too much >_<) but i haven't realised it.. hehe.. lazy lah...
i'll be going to Maktab Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim in Johor Bahru next tuesday for my PPC interview...
*aiyo... still can't upload pics here because of that internal server error!!!

I'm back!

quitted my job as a tutor before i got my SPM results: 9A1s, 1A2 (moral), GCE-O A1. kinda sad when i received it 'cause my expectation's to get straight A1s as what i got in my trials...attended JPA's interview on tuesday. will attend another at of of the teacher's training college on 10 May, the Program Pelajar Cemerlang from bahagian pendidikan guru... i've to sit for this ujian Inventori Sahsiah Keguruan and a written test on English. applied for BSc. Chems. if i'm successful, i'll have to go for a diploma course locally for 2 years, do my degree abroad for 3 years, and after that a diploma pendidikan locally for another year... so, it takes 6 years before i can become a graduate teacher! hey, isn't that time-wasting?my ambition is to become a lecturer+researcher... by the time i get my degree, i'm already 23 years old... i have to teach for a few years before i go for my masters... after that, i've to work for at least 2 years before becoming a lecturer... by then, i'll be at least 30 years old! huh... i think i'll go for that interview and in case i don't get JPA or matrikulasi then i'll accept this offer... form 6's tough:/*wanted to upload some pics here but there's an internal server error...

>_<

TM NET go to hell for its unstable connection! had finished typing a very long entry and clicked on the `save' button until i realised that my connection was cut again. grr... too lazy, too tired and too angry to re-type...
i'v bought a UPU form from BSN. but according to one of my friends who'v called up UPU, SPM 2004 leavers should apply ONLINE but not via the conventional method- sending forms to UPU. This is really confusing 'cause according to the MOE website, both methods are accepted. the problem is, STPM leavers have their personal particulars posted online to MOE's database by their school admins but i'm sure that SPM leavers don't have that. Those who apply by sending forms conventionally have to send a copy of thier school-leaving cert. But what about those who apply online? How would UPU know whether the info in the online form are true or not ('cause our personal particulars aren't in the MOE's database)? Should I apply online or should I not? Please help.Author:

Happy Rooster Year

(edited my previous entry)lost my voice for a week... recovering gradually now... my students laughed at me,`haha.. how come you sound like a man?" -.-" had been using hand-signs and other methods whenever my students couldn't hear me -.-got my 1st pay on 3rd of feb. got an increase of $50 in my salary to $650! however, got only $608 this month 'cause my stingy boss deducted $42 as i didn't work on 1st and 2nd of jan... hell, we only work on schooldays what... moreover, i'm getting salary, not wage! i should be fully paid what!yesterday morning, my boss, his wife and his elder brother came to our tuition centre.. we thought they were coming to give us red packets... in the end, cheng siu got sacked and wan yea was told to work for only 2 shifts (she's working on 3 shifts apparently) after CNY... everyone knew cheng siu's the most hardwoking tutor among us; she has been working over-time without extra pay for almost everyday while others dismiss their classes on-time... *sighas long as my boss or/and his family members (who are running the tuition centre together with him) dislikes somebody, they'll pick you in whatever you do, no matter how hardworking you are... to them, money means everything!i've been getting closer and closer to twin-sisters wen xin and wen shi recently... whenever they're passing by my house, they'll offer to give me a lift, whether to work or back home.. how nice :) we'd gone to the post-office near my house to pay utility bills for three times but only got them paid at the third time 'cause it wasn't open on our first two attempt...my job's a very tiring and boring one except for my nice colleagues (most of them are 3 years older than me) :)by the way, i have a 8-day break from 6-13 february. hope my boss won't cut my salary this month..
Happy Chinese New Year!

My Birthday - 22 Jan

22 Janwoke up kinda early today 'cause i'd to work on morning shift... blew my top at a boy of primary 3, who's famous among we tutors for his playfulness + stupidity + laziness, etc.. we, especially wen xin and i who are teaching him, hate him a lot as he always gives us a lot of trouble... one have to be very patient and cool to be his tutor... sadly, i've not been able to tolerate his behaviour... luckily, i only have to teach him on saturdays, compared to poor wen xin who's teaching him 5 days a week :Pbesides, i've another terrible student, who happens to be the only female student of mine... (i think i'v mentioned about this girl in one of my previous posts) she's quite intelligent, compared to that boy mentioned above, but she's naughtier and more playful than him. recently, she has picked up a habit of stretching out her legs to make her classmates fall... we tutors are given the right to cane students on their palms. however, this particular girl seems to know that we can only cane them on their palms. so, whenever i wanted to cane her, she'd just hide her hands behind her and i'd no other choice but to just shout at her... *sighafter class, one of my colleagues, wen shi secretly put a greeting card into my sling bag... wow, thanks for remembering my birthdate!went to minyak beku and had steamboat with my family, my youngest uncle's family and my paternal grandparents... i was so lucky to scoop up a dead housefly from the boat! met kwee shien and her family there too..invited some friends to a cafe in bkt pasir... some of them took the trouble to come after a long day of work... thanks ya!
23 Janwent for kuliah this morning and had my first experience of driving! haha... the kuliah was not at all informative... it was full of jokes... we were told to be responsible or rather berhemah drivers though... a guy asked me for my contact number but i politely refused.. haha.. well, i really didn't know him!was too nervous when i was learning to control the clutch and... you bet! ...got scolded by the tutor...
24 Janmy colleagues: wan yea, ching siu, swee fung and cute twin sisters wen xin and wen shi bought a cheese cake for me... they wanted to buy one for me on my birthday last saturday but i was rushing home then. wow... i'm so touched... thanks!
29 Janhmm.. luckily that naughty boy didn't give me much trouble today.. wen xin and wen shi brought a pot of green beans soup... it's really nice 'cause i'd sore throat... we devoured this cooling soup after work and chatted about kids at the tuition centre... haha, as all of us are female, we were chatting like those aunties :P after that, we went to a boutique next door to look at some new-arrive clothes... at the end, none of us bought any of them 'cause they were all too expensive!
30 Janam sick today... have sore throat and slight fever... found out that wen xin and wen shi are hakkas... (edited on 6th of feb)

deleted kazaa after downloading ares. heard from one of my friends that kazaa's full of bugs.. well, with a super-slow 56K dial-up connection, the downloading speed's real slow..
am still searching for scholarships and meddicine related but corpse-free courses... heard from hui yin who's now doing her a-levels that pharmacy students won't have to handle corpse. hurray!

New Bloggers

found out that yeen/'>http://yeenshuang.blogspot.com">Yeen Shuang and shing/'>http://shingcheng.blogdrive.com">Shing Cheng has become bloggers too.. kampate!!have been working for 2 weeks.. tired of acting fierce in front of my students (primary 3-5).. couldn't blame them, it's my duty to teach them what... moreover, they wouldn't be sent to tuition classes if they're obedient kids who would automatically do their homework.. well, that's life of being a tutor..there's this primary 3 boy who's strong (actually a fatty) but wouldn't carry his school bag on his own, just because he has a maid! some kids today are really fortunate, but i don't envy them 'cause i can do these simple things on my own.. well, i consider them as handicaps (no offence).i'm teaching 2 P4 boys and 2 P5 boys in the afternoon, 5 boys and a girl of P3 at night. that means, i've only one female student! and she's the naughtiest student out of the 10 students of mine! well, i think the reason for this could be that she's studying in a formerly all-boys school- cheng siu...we had a meeting last saturday after work.. our boss who's the marketing manager of a supermarket in my town told us lots of his stories which bored us to death! my stomach was grumbling but i had to keep nodding my head and pay attention to his granpa's stories... he told us to be serious and dedicated at work although this job's a temporary one to us; all of us are either waiting for the release of SPM or STPM results. he even asked us to write a report everyday!visitted my secondary school last week.. met some teachers.. my biology teacher, cik faridah told me pharmacy's a very boring course and recommended genetic engineering.. well, as far as i know, genetic engineers have to handle corpse or rather body samples and extract DNAs from them or involve in agricultural sectors, which is more boring to me. she told me that one of her friends who is an ecologist, works as a consultant and earns a lot. but according to my dad, it's very stressful working in a coorporate. my aim is to get a job with light workload and not high-demanding. i want to have plenty of time to take care of my family, especially my children. i want to coach them in their studies on my own and not sending them to tuition centres like the one i'm working now.. sounds like i'm an old lady huh? lol.. well, that's me *wink*
